What is Mindfulness-Based Coaching?

Mindfulness-Based Coaching is a powerful way to create meaningful change through awareness. It’s a practice that helps us pay attention to our inner thoughts, feelings, wants and needs and teaches us how to nourish them using gentle, holistic practices. It is an effective way to get clear about our inner health and wellbeing taking a proactive stance with our health.

Mindfulness coaching teaches us how to listen to our experiences, giving opportunity to notice our negative thoughts without getting pulled into them, and learning to step back from the repetitive thoughts that give rise to anxiety, self-doubt, and depression. It helps us notice what we are feeling, or perhaps not feeling giving an opportunity to respond in a healthy way. It brings attention to what we are experiencing in the present moment, noticing how our body responds, and then gives us tools to take appropriate action in real time.

Your coaching experience with me will stretch your limits and make you feel focused, motivated and confident. I use many change work modalities including Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), time line therapy, hypnosis and many other techniques to create real and lasting change for my clients. This in addition to my expertise in holistic nutrition and fitness gives me all the tools to help guide my clients to create individual sustainable goals that are in alignment with their needs and interests so that they can experience sustainable, long-term results.

FAQ

Therapy and Coaching both address problematic behaviors, self-improvement, and personal growth and can appear very similar on many levels but here are some differences:

Therapy

A therapist can help you with mental health issues, diagnosis, and assessment.
They take someone from a negative state to a neutral state to restore health based on problems rooted in their past.

A therapist examines the ways in which difficult experiences and challenges from the past continue to influence a person into the present day.

Coach

Coaches help you to become present with your feelings, thoughts, and behaviors to improve overall performance, help overcome obstacles, provide direction, assist in goal setting, and help you reach your potential.

Coaching is action-oriented and focuses on the present to create an empowering future. Coaches support another person through change in their life and inspire them to take action to get to the next level of their success. Coaches are expert listeners who hear both what you are and are not saying. They can recognize obstacles that are standing in your way with precision and clarity. They know how to ask the powerful questions that will create the powerful results.

In summary therapy is a vehicle to restore health. Coaching is a vehicle for growth in all areas of life.

As a health and wellness subconscious mind coach, I work both with the conscious and unconscious mind to create sustainable lifelong results.

I’m a big believer in speed of implementation to create change quickly and effectively.  Therefore, there will be tasks to complete between sessions to move you towards your goals successfully. 

At the end of each session, we’ll agree on specific activities tailored to your particular needs, lifestyle and goals. This could be exercises in self-awareness and self-discovery to understand beliefs, thoughts and emotions that may be driving your behaviours and habits, worksheets and visualization exercises that bring clarity to your goals, passion and values, implementing proven methods of lowering stress and anxiety, or listening to guided meditations that will fast track your results.

Before any candidates are selected for my programs, you will be asked to complete a questionnaire as a first step.  If you are still interested and you meet the requirements, we will jump on a discovery call so I can better understand your needs and to see if we are a good fit for each other.  

I am proud of my high success rate which is why I have designed this 2-step process for enrollment.  It must be a win-win scenario for both parties.  Our community consists of like-minded individuals who are striving to become healthier and more vibrant.  They are very supportive of each other’s goals and aspirations and I want it to be a safe, supportive container for everyone to benefit.

I primarily work with clients over zoom, but if preferred I also do in person sessions for local clients.

Our work together is completely confidential and will not be shared with anyone else unless you specifically request that I do so.
