
Tina Haller: The pivotal moment that changed my life
I still remember the moment my sister sat across from me, tears in her eyes, and said, “They keep telling me I’m fine…it’s just menopause.”
She had been to doctor after doctor, desperately trying to understand why her body felt so wrong. But each visit ended the same way: “Your labs are normal. This is part of getting older.”
Meanwhile, I was entering my own menopause journey – burned out from years of pushing through, exhausted before the day began, and feeling like I was losing my spark.
I was scared, because I could see I was following her path.
And then it happened suddenly. We lost her. The symptoms she was told to accept were actually signs of something far more serious. Because no one dug deeper, her condition went undetected until it was too late.
That loss shattered me. But it also lit a fire inside me. I promised myself I would never ignore my body’s signals again – and I would help other women do the same.
I realized this stage of life isn’t “just menopause.” It’s a complete rewiring of how our body, hormones, and nervous system operate – and it demands a completely different approach.
I stopped trying to force my body to behave like it did in my 20s and 30s. Instead, I started listening. I researched obsessively. I experimented with my own nutrition, movement, stress recovery, and mindset.
I ate in a way that calmed inflammation. I lifted weights to protect my bones and muscle. I walked outside for light and rhythm. I built in real rest so my nervous system could settle. I journaled my patterns…sleep, food, mood, hot flashes.
Slowly, my body started to respond.
My energy came back. I began sleeping deeper and through the night. My moods leveled out. The fog lifted, and I finally felt like myself again.
Women started asking for help.
